I used to love bright, busy, vibrant wallpaper/background on my phone. They were fun but made the locked view/home screen busy, especially at night, even with the brightness turned down. So for years I went with a solid black background and never changed it. Now I find myself drawn to subtle textures in dark shades of gray: easy on the eyes, but not completely void of definition and contrast. It’s an improvement over a solid color which always felt weird (A brightly lit black? Give me a Spinal Tap black). Functional but not demanding. So here are 15 that I made and have been enjoying. Do what you will with them (save them however your device allows). They are all nature shots: rocks, water, sky, etc.
